Nailing the Gottman-Rapoport Intervention
Assisting couples to learn how to both express their needs and listen to each other is a powerful way for them to learn to better manage conflict. The Gottman-Rapoport intervention is a simple-looking approach to this process. The success of a good Gottman-Rapoport intervention often lies in the therapist's ability to frame the discussion for the couple and assist them to shape the conversation towards a productive and connecting conclusion.
